DENTURE RELINES
Relines at Clinical Smiles
Denture relines are essential for maintaining the comfort and fit of your dentures over time.At Clinical Smiles Denture Clinic, we specialize in providing high-quality reline services to ensure your dentures fit securely and comfortably over time.
What are Relines?
As your mouth changes due to natural aging, weight fluctuations, or dental health changes, the fit of your dentures may become loose or uncomfortable. A reline involves adding a new layer of material to the fitting surface of your dentures, restoring proper fit and function without the need for entirely new dentures.
Why is a denture reline necessary?
Once teeth are extracted, the soft tissue and the bone that once surrounded your teeth start to resorb (shrink) and change it’s shape. This process starts immediately following the teeth removal and it is quite significant during the first three months post extractions. These changes will be ongoing, however some people experience them more than others.
All these changes lead to the denture not fitting snuggly and becoming loose and painful. Patients often find that it is difficult to speak or eat without the denture becoming unstable.
If you're experiencing discomfort with your current dentures, don't hesitate to reach out to Clinical Smiles for a consultation on our reline services. Your comfort and satisfaction are our priorities.

How long does it take to reline a denture?
We understand that for most people, going without their dentures is daunting. Relining a denture takes a few hours and if timed properly, most patients get to have their dentures back on the same day. It is important that relines are planed and scheduled in advance to avoid disappointment. If you would like to find out more about the process, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Denture relining is an important procedure and should be done regularly, every 1-2 years, as a denture maintenance.
We offer both soft and hard relines to accommodate different patient needs and preferences.
Soft relines are ideal for individuals with sensitive gums, while hard relines provide a more durable solution. Our experienced team will assess your needs and determine the best option for you.
